Dammed to Extinction Premieres in Portland
Dammed to Extinction had its Portland premiere at the Portland EcoFilm Festival at the end of September. Portlanders welcomed the film with a sold out screening at the Hollywood Theater. If I had known, I would have given up my seat!
I made sure to arrive early so that I could get in a few photos before my friends arrived. About twenty people came out (some even hired babysitters!) to support my work. It is so great to be screening in my hometown.
Some of the activists featured in the film showed up in support of the movie. It was nice to meet them for the very first time.
And… I got to tour the Orca Oracle Bus. It’s a bus that’s been converted to a living space that travels around to concerts and other events to spread awareness about plight of the starving Southern Residents. Creative way to create awareness!
